Back in January we told you about Team Fate, the UC Davis entry in the Challenge X: Crossover to Sustainable Mobility competition. Team Fate are outfitting a GM Equinox with a plug-in electric hybrid flex-fuel powertrain which will increase the fuel economy of the vehicle from its original 19 mpg to 36.2 mpg in city traffic.
