University of Minnesota feels a $1.5m biofuel research pinch

The fallout from that Science report that was highly critical of biofuels continues. In Minnesota, a state known for its ethanol support, a total of $1.5 million in biofuel grant funds have been "temporarily suspended" thanks to the negative information that came out in the report. The grants were from two soybean growers' groups - the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association and the Minnesota Soybean Research and Promotion Council - and were destined for biofuel researchers at the University of Minnesota.
