Tesla Motors joins Electric Drive Transportation Association

Regular readers of AutoblogGreen should know what the Tesla Roadster is. Now we're heard that the Tesla Motors company has joined the Electric Drive Transportation Association (EDTA). The EDTA is "the leading industry association working to accelerate the adoption of battery, hybrid and fuel cell vehicles and supporting infrastructure". EDTA President Brian Wynne said in a press release out today that the EDTA is, "Very pleased to be teaming with this ground-breaking company [Tesla] to show policymakers and the public how electric drive technologies can address the twin challenges of energy security and environmental responsibility." Seems like a good match if Tesla is going to fulfill their promise of an affordable family EV in the next five years or so.
