Honda Issues Second-Annual North American Environmental Report

Honda has put out their second annual North American Environmental Report that summarizes the company's impact on their environment through their manufacturing operations and products. The report includes the energy consumption and efficiency as well as emissions for twelve manufacturing plants and all the corporate operations. Some of the product highlights include Honda continuing to lead the American market with a corporate average fuel economy of 29.2 mpg for their entire fleet. Almost all of the vehicles in Honda's fleet (including Acura) meet or exceed both California and federal Tier 2 Bin 5 emissions regulations. In addition, all of Honda's manufacturing facilities are certified ISO 14001 environmental management standard. The full report is available as a pdf from Honda
