Thailand to try EcoCar project again
First called ACES, the EcoCar project in Thailand is on again. But conflicting forces that killed it a couple years ago might appear again. The idea is to build a low-priced vehicle smaller than the Toyota Yaris or Honda Fit that meet Euro crash standards and gets outstanding fuel economy with low emissions. Problem is, such a vehicle will cost money to develop and there likely isn't a strong profit potential outside of the country. One critic suggested investing that time and money into improving the mileage on all current vehicles.
