Ford Fusion hybrid caught in the wild

It looks like Ford is preparing to take on the Toyota Camry in the hybrid sedan market. The photographer spotted the Fusion at a spot previously known as a test site for the Escape hybrid. Once the hood was raised, a couple of quick snaps revealed some details, including the presence of a 4 cylinder engine. A large label across the top of the radiator reads "HEV AC - DO NOT charge with Oil" indicating a hybrid electric vehicle. The drive-train is probably the same Atkinson cycle engine as the Escape hybrid and appears to be aimed at the more fuel efficient market like the Camry and Saturn Aura rather than the performance market like the Honda Accord. The Fusion hybrid is due on the market in 2008. Click Read to see more photos.

Finally! It's only 3 years late! Camry hybrid is dominating that market.
Just hoping they can get their act together and match Toyota's excellent reliability.

I'm wondering if the hybrid will be AWD, like the current model. Right now I am looking for an AWD sedan so that I can easily take it up to the snow without the hassle of chains, but a hybrid AWD sedan would just be peachy, and its a market that does not yet exist...
