Flexcar car-sharing comes to Pittsburgh

Add Pittsburgh to the list of about a dozen American cities where car-sharing from Flexcar is availble.
Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl drove a Flexcar onto PPG Plaza earlier this week to welcome the car-sharing company to his city. The user rules are similar to other car-sharing services, namely that vehicles are parked around downtown and Flexcar members pay about $10 an hour to use them (There is also a $35 annual membership fee, but that's waived under certain business plans, and it's waived after the first year for anyone who drives at least twice during the year). Your $10 covers gas, insurance, 150 free miles, parking, maintenance and a 24/7 emergency service. The service starts this month with 20 fuel-efficient vehicles, including hybrids, pickups, minivans and cars, like the MINI Cooper.
You can read all about it at the Flexcar website.

What is the net cost of it? Please update much information about this!! By the way, have you heard of MiNeeds.com? It really simplifies finding affordable auto repair professionals. I used it to find them for my cars. Essentially, after I described what I needed on this site, I received several competitive bids from local auto repair professionals. I liked the fact that I didn’t have to call around and negotiate with each, and that they actually came to me.

"$10 an hour"
"Your $10 covers ... 150 free miles"
Hmmm... how many of the flexcars can go 150 mph?

I can't wait for flexcar to come to my town (Sacramento, CA)!
My partner and I have talked a lot about replacing our one car in the future with electric, hybrid, or biodiesel options. But the thing that makes the most environmental sense to us is to not have a car at all, and use a car share for the occasional store and DIY runs.
If flexcar (or similar) comes to town, we'll definitely sell our car.
