Japan: Daihatsu-sponsored EV race at Tsukuba circuit

EV racing at Tsukuba

This past weekend, Daihatsu apparently sponsored a day of EV racing at Japan's Tsukuba Circuit. Based on our Google-translated interpretation of the source article, it appeared that there were 30-minute race sessions for classes that ranged from EV karts to full-blown EV conversions of regular vehicles. In addition, to the normal racing, there was also a time trial competition, and it appears that a student class was added this year (it's an annual event). We wish we had more info, but Response.jp is lean on the details, and translating from the Japanese sites is always a bit tricky. One thing's for sure, though: it looks like a good time was had by all. For a full gallery of photos from the event, head over to the original post at Response.jp.
