Orbitz and Avis Budget Group sign deal to rent hybrids from travel sites


The giant online travel website Orbitz has signed a deal with Avis Budget Group (the company behind the two popular Avis and Budget car rental agencies) that allow you to rent hybrids from Orbitz's websites. The websites include Orbitz.com, Cheaptickets.com and Orbitzforbusiness.com and you can rent hybrids from most Avis and Budget locations in the U.S. and Canada. The hybrids includes Toyota Prius, the full-size Nissan Altima and the Ford Escape hybrid, which will be released this month.
