Ariel Atom team might make an electric bike
I am looking forward to Brammo's electric bike but I am really looking forward to a possible Ariel Atom team's electric bike. As you can see in the Jeremy Clarkson face-destroying video above, the Ariel Atom is hella-fun and Autocar reports they just might release an electric motor bike. Brammo actually worked with Ariel and the Atom is the basis for the Wrightspeed X1 electric car. Maybe some kind of partnership is in the works? Anyway, I can't wait to see what Ariel comes up with on two wheels.[Source: Autocar via Autoblog]

I need a good electric bike. I hope someone around here starts to carry them so I can get parts too.

I hope that when you say "bike" you mean "Motorcycle" and not “Bicycle” or "Scooter"!
I know that opinions vary but as for me and in an attempt to clear things up:
Engine: "A device that converts heat energy in a fuel into mechanical energy that can be used to [do] work..." (J. Webster. Small Engines-Operation and Service. Chicago: American Technical Publishers,1981)
Motor: "Technically it refers to an electric motor and should never be used when referring to the engine [of an automobile]" (A.L. Dyke. Dyke's Automobile and Gasoline Engine Encyclopedia. 6th edition. Toronto: McClelland, Goodchild & Stewart, 1918)
So, it follows that an "engine" is powered by gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, hot air or steam--anything but electricity or a clockwork mechanism.
You will never find an "electric engine."
A "motor" is powered by electricity or a clockwork mechanism. It's clean. It's cool. (Never mind how the electricity is generated. ) You won't come across a "steam motor, " and you shouldn't see a "gasoline motor" either,(but you will, because of sloppy writing and editing).
If it’s electric it’s a MOTOR.
If it’s not it’s an Internal Combustion ENGINE.
Technically, we now ride “Enginecycles” and NOT Electric “Motorcycles”. They’re called “motorcycles” due to ignorance and sloppy writing.

Yes, electric “Motorcycles” would be most welcome.

Looks like a good weekend fun car, and comparing price to a Corvette, it allows you to pick up a Prius for your daily commuter.

I love how Clarkson starts out by saying that the Atom is definitely not just a toy, and then goes on to tell us all just how awesome of a toy he thinks it is. I can hardly see someone using that as a commuter.
PS., Sticking a story under an almost entirely unrelated video is a bit distract to "we the ADD people".

It wouldn't be an Ariel Atom bike. It would be an Ariel bike. The Atom is a model of car.

Tim, I don't think they mean scooter or pedal bike.
