Which tires should I kick at the Washington Auto Show?

The 2008 Washington Auto Show starts today and ends January 27th. I am going and I want to know what you want me to report on. Sure, I will ask the exhibitors the tough green questions and try to catch all the green events. I still want to know what you want me to ask or which booth I should not miss. So, sound off in comments and tell me what I should do.
The Washington Auto Show includes some big names and they might take questions but don't be upset if all 15 of your questions don't make it to that Senator or CEO. I am not saying aim low but if you have a question that's kinda obscure, that an engineer who might be staffing a booth can respond to, I will probably get a good response.
Anyway, ask away. You have six days until it's over.

Go to that Auto Alliance booth (normally outside the main halls) and ask what they're main issues/concerns are, now that the industry has goals from the 2020 bill. Also, ask whether they are pushing for increased gas taxes, to increase the demand for fuel efficient vehicles, now that new CAFE regulations will be affecting the supply side.

My question to any of the "EV" manufacture wanabees
would be: Why doesn't anybody put ultracaps in the
formula for power. It seems they would make much better use of regenerative braking and then using that power for acceleration would reduce stress on the battery pack giving much more range and longer battery life.

Are there any cars with hand-crank windows? My friends went to the DC Auto Show and said they didn't see any: http://lowtechtimes.com/2008/01/27/hand-crank-windows/

Is there a scheduled date when Toyota will hybridize their trucks? Specifically the Tacoma. Also interested if there are plans for Flex-Fuel in their trucks.
Also for any company touting/planning on a new "quiet" Diesel production. Please put some numbers to "quiet" Diesel. What is the Decibel rating both inside the car as well as 10ft away as compared to current Diesel production cars? In raw numbers and % noise decrease over a comprable traditional Diesel. I won't believe they are actually quiet until I see/hear some real numbers.

Please ask the big three "Why don't you make every car flex-fuel instead of just the gas guzzlers. Is it because your only interested in the CAFE credits you get for flex fuel vehicles?" Make sure there's a senator nearby when you ask this.

How about talking to the folks at Smart to find out when/if a diesel version will be sold in the US. I visited the new Smart dealership in Tyson's Corner VA last weekend and the gas version is only getting 36/41 mpg... which, for a 70hp tiny car isn't all that great... though the price/options/interior room on the car were all very nice.

My question to Smart would be when are you going to get a good transmission? I cancelled my order this weekend after driving "my" car. I can't live with that transmission. I would also ask if they will do another ForFour but built off the ForTwo platform.

Any update from Phoenix Motorcars would be appreciated. Are they close to finalizing their Mexican plant deal? Their projected 500 units for this year in America, etc.
