Spark EV's Michael Papp might face more charges
Spark-EV's Michael Papp's future might not be looking up. As you probably remember, Papp was arrested last week for not delivering 14 electric vehicles to two companies, Electric Cars of Houston and Electric Transportation of Arkansas. Penn Live has posted an article from The Express-Times that says that the local District Attorney, John Morganelli, is checking into filing additional charges against Papp. Morganelli said that Papp has been on his radar for a while.Papp now says he plans to refund the $100,000 he accepted from the two EV companies "but could not immediately give back the wired payments," the Express-Times wrote. Papp also said he can prove the cars are ordered and en route to the two companies. We'll see, won't we?

More trouble within the ev business that only leads to mis trust and less consumers. Could they have not settled it without getting the press involved :) Everybody is ready to sue somebody for money

The article in The Express-Times states toward the end:
"Papp said he had been importing cars from China and selling them to distributors for about three years."
Well... hot-diggity-dog! Those of you out there who are actually driving one of those cars, speak up!
My, my... the silence in here is sure deafening.

Kevin,
There is a distinction here. The prosecutor's involvement means this is entirely a criminal matter and not a civil one. If a civil case warrants a lawsuit, then fine, sue him and don't go to the media. However, this is crminal, in which the public has no control.

I have taken delivery on a 6000. It is as I expected. Poor workmanship but appears to be mechanically sound. Mr. Papp lived up to his obligations thus far. I am waiting on repayment for a bad battery. We will see.

The sockpuppets are back, and with the exact same messages they've used elsewhere.

You say that Papp delivered to you a "6000"?! I have never seen such a vehice on the Spark EV web page. The Zotye, the Quilin, the Panda, the Quiet, yeah, but... what's a "6000"??? Where can we see a photo of one on the web?
When did you receive it?
What kind of vehicle is it? A NEV or a fully highway-capable EV?
What kind of battery does it have (that was "bad" for which you are "waiting on repayment")? What does that mean? That you had to install a third-party replacement and want a reimbursement from Papp?
What is its range?
How long does it take to charge it, both 110V and 220V (if the latter is possible)?
How many passengers can it accommodate?
Do you know if that "6000" has passed federal safety standards, i.e., does it have airbags, side-impact beams, seatbelts, etc.?
What about heating, air conditioning, stereo, etc.?
How much did you pay for it?
You are the first --and ONLY-- individual who has ever reported owning a vehicle from Spark EV. Give us some feedback! We keep asking, but nobody provides any specifics.

He's just a sockpuppet. He's used the exact same message elsewhere. Save your breath.

I did in fact get a 6000. It is an early version of the Panda. It is an NEV. Range is supposed to be
50 miles but I have not gone nearly that far.
The batteries are lead acid 12V 200ah.
I did have to replace it with a aftermarket ($400).
I have not received payment and may not.
It has only seat belts, 110V, no heat, no air.
Sort of a golf cart with a body.
It was what I expected. It looks just like a Panda. If you enter Flybo in your search engine,
you will see a picture of the car.
Karen,
I don't know what a sockpuppet but you must really like the term.
If you would like to discuss the car, please feel free to give me a call. That is why I put my phone number on my earlier message.
I have nothing to gain by taking my time to send these messages. I am not supporting Mr Papp.
I am only reporting my experience.

You wont be receiving your Tug because it doesn't exist. The photos Mr Papp used on his site were merely the body of a Honda Big Ruckus without the markings.
