Unfortunately getting to Chatsworth from the Bay Area would use a lot more carbon than is justified.
Also, I have written down that Bike to Work Day is the 15th (http://bayareabikes.org/btwd/index.php) around here, and in any case, how does 3 days constitute a week?

I know a guy in south florida who has been doing all-electric cars for quite a long time and has also done a bike - although there isnt any reason he couldnt do more. Costs about $700/kWh for the lithium-ions and each kWh should get you 10-20 miles of range. so the batteries end up being more than 90% of the cost of the bike if you think about it. I think as gas prices go up people will be looking for electric bikes more and more.
