Plug In America fundraiser gathers together top EVs, money
Last weekend, Plug In America celebrated its annual fundraiser at the Thomas Fogarty Winery in Woodside, CA. The event was the perfect excuse to showcase a wide array of electron-powered vehicles: AC Propulsion's t-Zero, the Aptera 2e, the Tango, ten Tesla Roadsters, and a few suriviving Toyota RAV4 EVs. The two-wheeled sector was represented by Zero Motorcicles and Mission Motors. Besides the EV galore, the event featured speeches by Rachelle Chong, California Public Utilities Commissioner, and Congressman Jerry McNerney. Both were positive about the possibilities that plug-in vehicles offer and Chong's speech was especially notable because she stated that California's Public Utility Commission was getting started into plug-ins,and was "going to be soliciting public input starting this month on charging infrastructure as well as EV-friendly electrical rates." Gotta admit: it was a GREAT party! Loved meeting the Plug-In America members, drooling over the Roadsters, and getting to sit in an Aptera for the first time. Good things on the horizon! THANKS, PIA!
