Phoenix Motorcars still on track to release all-electric SUT in 2010?

We're still trying to figure out what is up with Phoenix Motorcars, but the company's website is hinting that things are going on behind the scenes. We don't remember text on the site before:Phoenix Motorcars will release a consumer version of its zero-emission, freeway-speed, green vehicle in 2010. If you would like to be added to our mailing list and be one of the first in your area to own a Phoenix, please complete the form below.
The company did say they "have not abandoned the alternative fuels space," and this appears to be confirmation that at least something might happen with the SsangYong-based all-electric utility vehicles next year. We're still looking for something official and recent from the company, and will let you know if/when they respond.
Looking at the form, we particularly like that in the drop-down menu that lists the possible ways one heard about Phoenix Motorcars, option #5 is Ed Begley, Jr. Thanks to Richard F. for the tip!

Oh my god! It's like the lovechild of a Subaru Brat and a Pontiac Aztec.

It's just too bad Ssanyong make the ugliest vehicles on the planet. However, they were the only ones nice enough to sell gliders to Phoenix. Give the ugly ducklings a little geen love.
Phoenix is the wierd set up financed by some Sheik Yerbootie. Good luck to him with Altair, GT Lightning and Phoenix. I hope the buggers are not taking him for a cash burn ride.
I think a good panel beater could improve the looks. Think of it as plastic surgery.
