If you're European and have a cool $80,000 at your disposal, you probably don't have to worry fuel costs. Volvo would like to give you the option to care about them even less, though, just in case.

Across the pond, the Swedish automaker plans to start deliveries of its V60 diesel plug-in hybrid by the end of the year, Plugin Cars reports. Volvo is taking orders for the car, which will sell for about $81,000 at current exchange rates. That's about $19,000 more than the regular V60. In countries like France, though, government incentives aimed at boosting electric-drive vehicle sales could shrink that premium to about $10,000.

Volvo unveiled the V60 plug-in at last year's Geneva Motor Show. The car will have a 2.4-liter five-cylinder turbodiesel engine paired with a 70-horsepower electric motor and battery that provides an all-electric range of as much as a 32 miles.

Volvo has said it is investing more than $2 billion in research and development specifically geared towards cutting its vehicles' greenhouse-gas emissions. Last June, Volvo introduced a battery-electric prototype of its C30 that the automaker said would be available for leasing customers by the end of this year. It, too, isn't cheap.
Volvo will start V60 diesel plug-in hybrid deliveries in Europe by year-end originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Fri, 04 May 2012 14:02:00 EST.
Volvo is taking its Mean Green hybrid truck on U.S. tour for a few months. One of the stops between Toronto Tuck World and the Volvo Ocean Race in Miami was Wendover, UT, to attempt a couple of record-breaking speed runs.

Mean Green uses a 16-cylinder engine that puts out 1,900-horsepower, tied to an electric motor that adds 200 hp and 885 pound-feet. With that package, the Swedish Viking Speed Records Team and pilot Boije Overbrink were aiming for 165 miles per hour in the flying kilometer. They didn't quite make that lofty goal, but they did well enough to break not one, but two world records. Scroll down for the story of the day.
Continue reading Watch Volvo's hybrid semi-truck set a land speed record

Watch Volvo's hybrid semi-truck set a land speed record originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Wed, 02 May 2012 19:57:00 EST.
Volvo said it has cut its European fleetwide emissions from its gas- and diesel-powered vehicles by 13 percent during the past few years and is looking to reduce emissions even further starting next year.

For the 2013 model year, the Swedish automaker will debut a five-cylinder 2.0-liter, 136-horsepower turbodiesel engine - called the D3 - for its S60, V60, XC60, V70 and S80 models. All but the automatic-transmission XC60 crossover will have start-stop functionality.

Additionally, Volvo will also introduce a 115-horsepower diesel engine - the D2 - that will have the same emissions with both an automatic and manual transmissions, which Volvo says is a first.

Volvo is looking to use a combination of diesel technology and electric-drive powertrains to meet progressively more stringent European greenhouse-gas emissions. The company said in 2010 that, for the eight years ending in 2014, it will have sunk more than $2 billion in research and development specifically towards boosting fuel economy and reducing emissions.

Last June, Volvo debuted a battery-electric prototype version of its C30 with a 93-mile single-charge range and estimated that about 250 would be built by the end of this year for leasing to European customers. Volvo, which isn't selling the car, is charging about $2,100 a month for lessees the EVs.
Continue reading Volvo cuts European fleetwide emissions by 13% over past two years

Volvo cuts European fleetwide emissions by 13% over past two years originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Sun, 15 Apr 2012 09:04:00 EST.
Volvo CEO Stefan Jacoby may be steering a company that is working on plug-in vehicles like the XDC60 plug-in hybrid and the C30 Electric, but he recently told an industry seminar in Brussels that an all-of-the-above approach is the right one. To wit, "It is far too early to dismiss the conventional diesel and petrol power trains," he said.

Jacoby has long been lukewarm about plug-in vehicles, pointing out that mainstream affordability and widespread readiness are not yet here. Of course, he has spoken in favor of EVs, too, and that "both sides" message was at the bottom of his speech at an industry seminar in Brussels. Specifically, Jacoby said that the EU governments need to continue to support vehicle electrification, as the targets the government has set - cutting transport greenhouse gas emissions by 60 percent by 2050 and getting conventionally fueled cars out of cities by 2050 - will be difficult to hit without help. In the mean time, "Volvo Car Corporation urges the EU to coordinate incentives whilst supporting research and development. The European automotive industry risks losing the present technological leadership if this doesn't happen," he said.

Jacoby also said that a three to four percent plug-in vehicle market share by 2020 and a 30 percent share by 2030 are both "unrealistic." You can read more of his talking points after the jump.
Continue reading Volvo CEO challenges EU, says it's "far too early" to dismiss fossil fuels

Volvo CEO challenges EU, says it's "far too early" to dismiss fossil fuels originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Tue, 03 Apr 2012 15:43:00 EST.
Taking its cue from Internet consumption-centric "unboxing" and "teardown" videos, Volvo would like to introduce you to its new V60 plug-in hybrid.

In two new videos, Volvo seems to think people want to see what it would be like if PHEVs came packaged like new iPads. First, we get to carefully open the origami layers of the box to reveal the new <strike>iDevice</strike> car and then peel back the clear stickers that kept your new <strike>phone</strike> car scratch free until you picked it up. So much sexier than a vehicle transporter truck.

In the second video, Volvo's lab crew dismantles the car, showing off the seats while a voice says this is Volvo's "most human-centric car ever." We then get to see the through-the-road powertain, with the five-cylinder, 2.4-liter turbodiesel engine up front and the electric motor in back that, together, offer up to 280 horsepower. More specs here and you can see both videos after the jump.

Sometimes, we don't ask why, we just appreciate.

That's the attitude we're taking towards "Mean Green," the Volvo truck that the Swedish company is using to try and set the land-speed record for hybrid trucks.

And while neither the words "hybrid" or "truck" conjure up images of blazing speed, it's a formidable attempt by Volvo, which says it will get "Mean Green" to top 165 miles per hour. Volvo will hold the time trials at Utah's Wendover Airfield on April 27.

Volvo, which unveiled "Mean Green" at the Mid-America Trucking Show last week, says the beast cranks out 2,100 horsepower and almost 5,000 pound-feet of torque. And - get this - about 10 percent of the truck's horsepower and about 17 percent of its torque comes from an electric motor, which should save a couple Rocky Mountain trees.

Like the rock star it is, "Mean Green" is being taken on a North American tour by Volvo, appearing at Toronto's Truck World in April and at the Volvo Ocean Race, which takes place in Miami in May. No word on whether "Mean Green" can float.
Continue reading Volvo shoots for 165 mile-per-hour hybrid-truck speed record

Volvo shoots for 165 mile-per-hour hybrid-truck speed record originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Thu, 29 Mar 2012 07:54:00 EST.
Dutch website NU recently reported that Volvo expects low demand for its C30 Electric, and therefore it decided to stop building the mostly electric car (it has a small, ethanol-burning heater to keep passengers warm). The original source for this information was a story in the Belgian newspaper The Age that cited Volvo's government affairs director, Anders Kärrberg. Turns out, this isn't quite right.

First, Volvo has always said the C30 Electric is a limited program. When the company started making the attractive EV in last summer, the public plan was to make just 250 units. So, the fact that the automaker is getting ready to finish up building the 250 units and then reevaluate the situation is not a surprise.

We asked Volvo's Malin Persson about the situation, and she told AutoblogGreen that "[it has] never been our aim to continue with production of C30 Electric for a longer period of time." She added that:

[Volvo Car Corporation] will not end the production of the C30 Electric - but it has always been a project limited in numbers and time.

Approximately 200 cars have been built from the first generation, another 50 remain to be built before summer.

In the second generation, starting after the summer, 100 cars will be built in cooperation with Siemens and with Siemens technology.

The know-how and experience VCC has gained and will gain from the C30 Electric project will be extremely valuable when taking decisions about the way forward when it comes to electric cars.

So, instead of reporting that Volvo is stopping C30 Electric production, the reality is that 100 vehicles has been added to the build order. How aggressively Volvo continues to push on with electric technology beyond its C30 program - in something like the XC60 plug-in hybrid - remains to be seen. Kärrberg told The Age that Volvo thinks EVs will only make up one percent of the market in the next eight years, thanks to expensive batteries and a hodgepodge of government incentives.
Despite rumors, Volvo not ceasing electric C30 production plans originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Mon, 26 Mar 2012 14:00:00 EST.
With the S40 gone and the C30 on its way out the door, Volvo has a few holes in its line that Audi and BMW are happy to fill with the all-new A3 and 1 Series, respectively.

Enter the V40, a five-door hatch that's one of the most attractive designs from Sweden since the Ikea Skürg. It's a svelte bit of kit, with an organic fascia bleeding into a subtly sculpted hood and capped off with a sloping roofline that can be had in full panoramic glass.

Like the exterior, the interior is a mild evolution of Volvo's current design ethos, with a minimalist, floating center stack situated beneath a large touchscreen display.

Power is provided by Volvo's ubiquitous 254-horsepower turbocharged five-cylinder mated to either a six-speed automatic or manual gearbox, good for a 6.7-second run to 60 mph. Start-stop tech and regenerative braking are standard, along with Volvo's usual suite of safety features.

But alas, the V40 is not for U.S. consumption. Which is a shame, because the States could benefit from an alternative that slots in with the entry-level Germans.
Volvo is working with Ericsson and Gothenburg Energy on developing a system in which electric-vehicle drivers can control EV charging levels and make payments for electricity from inside of the car.

The companies, who've named the project ELVIIS (Electric Vehicle Intelligent Infra Structure), are working on a system where a seven-inch touch screens are installed inside Volvo C30 electric vehicles. Drivers can use the screen to control and pay for electricity no matter where they are charging from. Volvo will use five C30 EVs for testing over the next year.

The Swedish automaker is stepping up its investments in electric-drive technology. Volvo said a couple of years ago that it will have invested more than $2 billion between 2006 and 2014 in research and development related to boosting fuel economy and cutting CO2 emissions.

Volvo last June started making the C30 electric and estimated that about 250 would be built by the end of this year for leasing to European customers (read here for a test-drive review). The company estimated that the car would have a single-charge range of about 93 miles, a top speed of 81 miles per hour and a 0-30 miles per hour acceleration time of about four seconds. Volvo, which isn't selling the car, is charging about $2,100 a month for a lease.
Volvo developing ELVIIS EV charging system to ease payments from any outlet originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Thu, 23 Feb 2012 07:47:00 EST.
Volvo has made it a point to emphasize - surprise - the safety of its plug-in vehicles at recent auto shows. Today at the Detroit Auto Show, the Swedish automaker showed off the XC60 Plug-In Gasoline Hybrid Concept, a way to gauge American reaction to the idea of a plug-in CUV from Volvo. Why? Because this concept is headed to the U.S. and Chinese markets - in a different guise and with a lot of changes - "a couple of years." That means something like 2014-2015. Volvo's first PHEV here could be an XC60 model, or perhaps an S60, said Volvo CEO and President Stefan Jacoby. For now, Jacoby told AutoblogGreen, the XC60 shows the direction Volvo is going.

Here are the numbers: a 35-mile all-electric range, a recharging time of just 3.5 hours from a 220V outlet (7.5 hours from a more common 110V). Volvo estimates U.S. fuel economy of 105 MPGe and 50 mpg when the battery runs dry. 0-60 is reached in 5.8 seconds on the way to a 130 mph top speed. Oh, and eight gears in an auto transmission.

Petroleum is burned in a four-cylinder, 2-liter, turbocharged direct-injected gasoline engine that has stop-start technology. This 280-horsepower powerplant moves the front wheels, and a 70-hp electric motor propels the back wheels (this is known as a through-the-road hybrid). The XC60 PHEV has a 12-kWh lithium-ion battery, but just 66 percent of that (8 kWh) is used. The driver can select three modes - Pure, Hybrid and Power - depending on which type of fuel economy and performance is desired. Details of this technology can be found after the jump and images of the XC60 test bed are available in our galleries.
Continue reading Volvo XC60 Plug In Hybrid shows where the company is headed

Volvo XC60 Plug In Hybrid shows where the company is headed originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Mon, 09 Jan 2012 18:04:00 EST. Anyone in the U.S. who's been looking longingly at the Volvo's diesel-electric V60 plug-in hybrid - which is only scheduled to go on sale in Europe, starting sometime later this year - take hope: the Swedish automaker has taken the digital wraps off of the new XC60 Plug-in Hybrid Concept, and is dropping all sorts of hints that it's coming to America. It burns gas instead of diesel fuel, true, but Stefan Jacoby, President and CEO at Volvo Car Corporation, said in a statement that this is just what's required to compete here:

The gasoline plug-in hybrid is ideal for the American motorist who wants an electric car while at the same time retaining all the power and capacity that comes in his or her present vehicle. ... The gasoline version has great potential in several markets that are vital for our ambitious growth plans, such as the United States, China and Russia.

Patty Hooley of the Dealer Council of Volvo Cars North America said in a statement that, "From a U.S. market perspective, a gasoline plug-in hybrid would be an excellent addition to our product offer." So, we don't know when, but it sure sounds like Volvo is planning on bringing this plug-in hybrid to our shores some time soon.

What would we get should the car arrive? The XC60 PHEV concept uses a 280-horsepower, four-cylinder gas engine - part of the new Volvo Environmental Architecture family of engines - and a battery of unspecified size that offers a EV-range of 35 miles. That battery recharges in about 7.5 hours from a standard U.S. outlet, and those numbers suggest it's similar to the pack that powers the Chevrolet Volt. With a 70-hp electric motor, the XC60 gives a total of 350 horses, or around the power of a V8, which should also appeal to U.S. drivers. Another good number? An "operational fuel economy" of 50 miles per gallon. Add that all up, and Volvo says the combination of powertrains in the XC60 is "superior to all existing hybrids." We'll see how that confidence translates to the real world when we see the vehicle at the Detroit Auto Show next week.

Volvo is laying claim to the first production diesel plug-in hybrid title with the company's new V60. The vehicle makes use of a five-cylinder 2.4-liter turbo diesel engine with 215 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque coupled to a six-speed automatic transmission as well as an electric motor good for up to 70 horsepower and 147 pound-feet of torque. The forced-induction internal combustion engine puts power to the front wheels while the electric motor feeds its grunt to the rear. An 11.2-kWh lithium-ion battery pack fields power storage duties, and Volvo says the V60 plug-in diesel hybrid can travel up to 32 miles on all-electric power with a single charge.

As with most plug-ins, charge times vary depending on the available current, but Volvo claims the V60 can top off its cells in as little as 3.5 hours on a 16-amp line. Interestingly enough, the vehicle allows the driver to chose between three drive modes. Pure mode relies on the electric motor as much as possible while Hybrid mode splits the difference between the diesel mill and the electric motor. Finally, Power mode calls on the full 285 horsepower and 362 pound-feet of torque for the most driving enjoyment. Volvo says the V60 diesel plug-in hybrid can kick up to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds in Power mode.

It's worth recalling that Peugeot was the first automaker to bring a production diesel hybrid to market, but the fact that the new V60 can plug in to charge its cells earns Volvo a spot in the pantheon of green firsts. For now, the model is only slated for European dealerships. Hit the jump to check out the full press release.
Continue reading Volvo introduces production V60 diesel plug-in hybrid

Volvo introduces production V60 diesel plug-in hybrid originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Wed, 14 Dec 2011 16:02:00 EST.
If you hop on the bus on busy 76 route in London anywhere between Waterloo Station and Tottenham, you're going to be using one of Volvo's hybrid double-decker buses. The 26 buses that Arriva operates along this route use a diesel-hybrid powertrain that, according to Edward Jobson, head of environmental affairs at Volvo Buses, saves Transport for London (which contracts out to Arriva) 34 percent in fuel costs compared to traditional buses. TfL is running tests using a variety of buses from different companies, and Jobson said the next-closest offers reductions of 27 percent. All told, Arriva uses 46 of Volvo's double-decker hybrid buses.

The diesel-hybrid powertrain can also be found in Volvo's single-story 7700 Hybrid buses, which are in operation around the world. Volvo calls its diesel-electric buses, "the only commercially viable hybrid on the market." Whether or not that's true we'll leave up to the fleet purchasers, but at least Volvo has put 300 of these buses into operation thus far. There is a video showing more about the Volvo buses after the jump.
Continue reading Volvo double-decker buses outperform competition in London

Volvo double-decker buses outperform competition in London originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Fri, 09 Dec 2011 16:02:00 EST.
Volvo vehicles keep occupants safe. That's the message the Swedish automaker has pitched for decades now and that sentiment hasn't changed a bit with the introduction of Volvo's electrified vehicles.

First, Volvo showed us that its electric-only C30 DRIVe fared exceptionally well in crash tests and now the Swedish automaker is putting its V60 Plug-in Hybrid through the same set of tests, including the destructive 70-percent overlap rear impact.

In this test, the V60 Plug-in is struck in the rear by a sled moving at 55 miles per hour. As intended, Volvo's wagon immediately deforms upon impact, but its rear-mounted battery pack remains intact. Sensors fitted to the V60 plug-in immediately cut electrical power if the impact is severe, while a system fitted to the battery vents gas if the pack is breached.

Hit the jump to watch video of the destruction and keep a close eye on the V60's battery (highlighted in green) as it survives the carnage virtually untouched. It's okay to cringe a little at the destruction.
Continue reading Volvo crashes V60 Plug-in Hybrid

Volvo crashes V60 Plug-in Hybrid originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Wed, 26 Oct 2011 09:40:00 EST.
In its sixth annual analysis, the European Federation for Transport and Environment found that Volvo led all European automakers in CO2 emissions reductions in 2010. The analysis shows that the Swedish automaker reduced its European fleet-wide emissions by nine percent in 2010, while most other automakers slashed their emissions by only two to six percent.

Overall, CO2 emissions from passenger vehicles sold in Europe dropped by 3.7 percent in 2010, bringing the average emissions figure down to 140 grams per kilometer. The firm's analysis discovered that Fiat leads with a fleet-wide emissions rating of 126 g/km, followed closely by Toyota and PSA Peugeot Citroen.

Though still one of Europe's worst emitters, Volvo's 2010 emissions reductions efforts are notable due to a massive nine percent single-year drop. Volvo credits sales of fuel-efficient diesel vehicles, including the V50 DRIVe and V70 DRIVe, for its CO2 reductions.
Continue reading Volvo led European automakers in CO2 reductions in 2010, still trails #1 Fiat

Volvo led European automakers in CO2 reductions in 2010, still trails #1 Fiat originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Tue, 25 Oct 2011 09:22:00 EST.
The lovely - though far too pricey for our tastes - Volvo C30 Electric DRIVe will get its motivation from Brusa Elektronik AG-supplied electric motors. Based in Germany, Brusa says its drivetrain systems will power at least 250 - possibly more based upon demand - C30 Electrics.

So, with Brusa being Volvo's selected supplier, let's take a detailed dive into the C30's electric drivetrain. The Brusa electric motor delivers up to 162 pound-feet of torque, leading to a four-second 0 to 31-mile-per-hour dash and an 11-second 0 to 62-mph time. Top speed for the C30 DRIVe checks in 81 mph and the Brusa-supplied, on-board 3.7-kW battery charger means that the C30 can refuel in ten hours or less. The electric Volvo's 24-kWH battery pack delivers a certified range of 101 miles; that's according to the New European Driving Cycle, but Volvo estimates the C30's real-world range to be around 93 miles.

The Volvo C30 Electric is currently being built on a regular assembly line in Belgium and then gets transported to Sweden for installation of its electric motor, battery pack and other model-specific components. Volvo's electric hatchback will soon be delivered to lessees in Europe, China and the U.S.
Continue reading Technical details on the Volvo C30 electric's motor

Technical details on the Volvo C30 electric's motor originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Wed, 28 Sep 2011 10:25:00 EST.
Swedish automaker Volvo says it will take the "next step towards zero emissions" with the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show unveiling of downsized four-cylinder gas and diesel engines. Peter Mertens, Volvo's senior vice-president of research and development, claims:

It's time to stop counting cylinders. Our four-cylinder focus is the perfect way for us to quickly reduce CO2 emissions and fuel consumption. We will develop four-cylinder engines with higher performance than today's six-cylinder units and lower fuel consumption than the current four-cylinder generation.

Those are great targets to shoot for, and Volvo says it will achieve these goals with the upcoming introduction of what the automaker says are four-cylinder engines that feature Volvo Environmental Architecture. Volvo is tight-lipped on the technology that will supposedly make VEA engines so capable, but says the powertrains will be up to 90 kilograms (198 pounds) lighter than the automaker's current units and boast fuel economy ratings of up to 35 percent above Volvo's current crop of engines. VEA almost seems too good to be true, doesn't it?
Continue reading Volvo details downsized VEA four-cylinder gas and diesel engines

Volvo details downsized VEA four-cylinder gas and diesel engines originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Thu, 08 Sep 2011 17:03:00 EST.
Swedish automaker Volvo has video teased its Concept You ahead of its 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show debut.

Details on the concept are scarce, but Volvo says the vehicle will showcase the automaker's recently announced Volvo Environmental Architecture (VEA) and Scalable Platform Architecture (SPA). VEA is Volvo's term for its upcoming range of downsized four-cylinder engines, while SPA is the automaker's way of saying a single platform will underpin various models with different specifications. And that's all Volvo is spilling about the Concept You.

However, the Concept You video does reveal a vehicle with a production-focused face with LED headlights flanking a traditional Volvo grille. While the clip offers few specific details, the sketches you'll see throughout the video after the jump reveal what some are saying could well be the next-gen Volvo S80.
Continue reading Volvo teases Concept You ahead of Frankfurt debut

Volvo teases Concept You ahead of Frankfurt debut originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Thu, 08 Sep 2011 13:00:00 EST.
The latest episode of Robert Llewellyn's plug-in-centric show Fully Charged has hit the Internet and this time 'round Llewellyn takes the diesel plug in-hybrid Volvo V60 for a spin.

The Europe-only V60 plug-in packs two distinct drivetrains that can operate separately or in tandem. Up front is a 2.4-liter five-cylinder turbodiesel with 215 horsepower and 324 pound-feet of torque. Out back, a 70-horsepower electric motor with a 12-kWh lithium-ion battery pack spins the rear axle. At the touch of a button, the V60 can operate in Pure mode with a 32-mile electric-only range; in Hybrid mode emitting less than 50 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer with a 746-mile range; or in Power mode as a torquey machine with 472 lb-ft of twist. Unlike most plug-ins, this diesel-electric wagon is downright quick, with a 6.9-second sprint to 62 miles per hour.

So, what's the plug-in Volvo V60 like to drive? With nine-plus minutes of pure plug-in hybrid vehicle joy awaiting you after the jump, we'll stop beating around the bush and let Llewellyn take you on a wagon ride. We'll just admit that we're jealous.
Continue reading Fully Charged drives the Volvo V60 diesel plug-in hybrid

Fully Charged drives the Volvo V60 diesel plug-in hybrid originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Tue, 06 Sep 2011 14:53:00 EST. Volvo is currently developing a plug-in hybrid bus that it says can go the distance silently and emissions-free. Three of the rapid-charge capable, plug-in buses will be ready for testing in Gothenburg, Sweden by fall of 2012.

Having sold more than 250 hybrid buses, Volvo boldly claims it has developed the "world's most efficient hybrid solution for buses and trucks," but the Swedish coachmaker isn't stopping there. By equipping its hybrid buses for plug-in duty, Volvo says that fuel consumption will drop by a remarkable 75 percent compared to conventional diesel-burning coaches. Volvo Buses chief executive officer, Håkan Karlsson, says:

Reducing the total global energy consumption is the most important measure today and in the future. The bus is already today clearly the most energy-efficient vehicle for public transport and our hybrid bus will accentuate its position as the best environmental option. But, we must continue to reduce energy consumption and for us in the bus industry, this involves finding solutions to increase electricity use.

Volvo's plug-in hybrid concept bus works on the concept of end-of-route charging, which means that charging stations are installed at bus line terminals. By charging the battery pack there for five to ten minutes, Volvo says the bus could operate fuel-free for up to ten kilometers (6.2 miles). Volvo says more stations could be installed in densely populated urban centers to eliminate the need to burn any fuel in heavily polluted areas.

Volvo expects to have one prototype bus ready for limited testing in late 2011. The next step comes in the fall of 2012, when three buses will ferry passengers around Gothenburg. Karlsson says, "it will take a few more years" to ready the plug-in hybrid bus for production.
Continue reading Volvo will test rapid-charge, plug-in hybrid bus next year

Volvo will test rapid-charge, plug-in hybrid bus next year originally appeared on AutoblogGreen on Fri, 02 Sep 2011 10:12:00 EST.
