EPA certifies propane system compatible with taxis

AFV Solutions says the EPA has certified its propane conversion system for the 4.6-liter engine in 2006 Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car, two vehicles very popular with high-mileage taxis and limos. AFV officials say fleets can reduce fuel costs up to 40 percent with the conversion and lower maintenance costs. The company also has propane/gasoline bi-fuel certifications for models dating back to 2003.
