REPORT: Tesla goes from competitor to demonstrator in Automotive X Prize

The Automotive X Prize lost another vehicle this week with the announcement that Tesla Motors will no longer be entering the Model S in the competition division. Instead, the California-based automaker will show off a vehicle in the demonstration division – and Wired says it might not be a Model S but something entirely new. Color us intrigued.
