Nissan and Renault have been making a lot of hay about plans to introduce electric cars by 2010. The Franco-Japanese partners have teamed up with Better Place in countries like Israel and Denmark to establish a charging and battery exchange infrastructure. The companies are also working directly with governments in Portugal and elsewhere.
